About the tour
We start by checking the weather and aurora forecast together, then drive out of Longyearbyen to find the spots with the best chance of clear sky and Northern Lights.
The van is our base, so you can warm up between stops while we look for good places to photograph the aurora and the night sky. Even on quiet nights, the dark landscape around Longyearbyen gives great night photos.
A relaxed tour for anyone who loves photography.
Physical Requirements
Suitable for everyone. Wheelchair friendly on request (foldable wheelchair, and the guest needs to sit in a regular car seat).
Practical information
Included in the trip
Dress in layers – it’s the best way to stay warm. It is better to be too warm than too cold!
- Warm drink and biscuits
- Crampons if needed
- Headlamp (bring your own if you have one)
- Local guide and transport
Recommended to bring
- Warm winter clothing, even if the car is always close
- Camera, tripod and extra batteries

- Minimum 2 participants per tour
- Booking closes 3 hours before departure
- The Northern Lights can never be guaranteed

If you need to cancel, please let us know in writing. We recommend travel insurance that covers sickness and delayed or cancelled flights.
