About the tour
Looking for the perfect place to see the Northern Lights, far from light pollution? Drive your own snowmobile through wide, snowy valleys under a sky full of stars, while we keep watch for the aurora.
After pick-up and a short drive to our basecamp, you get a safety briefing and warm expedition gear. Then we ride out to a stunning frozen waterfall. Sheltered from the wind, we enjoy warm drinks and a hot expedition meal while your guide shares stories about Svalbard and the legends of the aurora.
The tour covers about 80-90 km. No snowmobile experience needed, we start at an easy pace.

Included in the trip
Dress in layers – it’s the best way to stay warm. It is better to be too warm than too cold!
- Professional guide with safety and communication equipment
- Transport to and from your hotel
- Snowmobile with fuel
- Snowmobile suit, boots, gloves, balaclava, helmet and goggles
- Warm drinks, snacks and a hot expedition meal
- Search and rescue insurance
Recommended to bring
- Several layers of wool under the suit
- Thin gloves for under the mittens
- Fully charged phone or camera and an extra battery
Important Information
- A valid driving licence for car, motorcycle or snowmobile is required to drive
- No refund if you cannot show a valid licence
- Children who cannot sit as a passenger ride in a heated sled
- Everyone under 18 must be with an adult
- The Northern Lights can never be guaranteed
Cancellation Policy
22 days or more prior to departure gives a 95% refund
8-21 days prior gives a 50% refund
0-7 days prior gives no refund
If you need to cancel, please let us know in writing. There is no refund for route changes, sickness, cancelled or delayed flights or other things outside the operator’s control, so we recommend travel insurance.
