Northern Lights Safari by Snowcat
with Hurtigruten Svalbard
About the tour
The snowcat looks huge in town, but out in the wilderness it suddenly feels very small. On this trip you leave the lights of Longyearbyen behind in comfort, and drive across the frozen Adventdalen in search of the aurora.
We make several stops along the way to look for the Northern Lights. During the polar night, from early November to late January, the aurora can show up at any time of day, even at noon. Daytime lights are fainter but often more colourful.
Not physically demanding at all, so the whole family can join.
Physical Requirements
Suitable for everyone, including children.
