About the tour

Travel by vehicle through the wilderness around Longyearbyen as we look for the best weather and the darkest skies. The route changes every night, based on the latest weather and aurora forecasts.

Along the way we visit some of the most iconic places in the area, like the historic Northern Lights Observatory, Mine 6 and several viewpoints under the mountains. Your guide shares stories about polar history, mining and the science behind the aurora, and helps you get good photos of the night sky.
