Silent Electric Snowmobile Aurora Safari
with Hurtigruten Svalbard
About the tour
Press the throttle and your snowmobile glides away without a sound. On this safari you drive an electric snowmobile through Adventdalen in search of the Northern Lights, with nothing but Arctic silence around you.
From early November to the end of January the aurora can appear at any time of day. In daylight hours it is fainter but often more colourful. The quiet engines also disturb wildlife less, so keep an eye out for Svalbard reindeer, ptarmigan and Arctic foxes.
Departures in the morning, afternoon and evening depending on the date.
Physical Requirements
Suitable for most people without snowmobile experience. The terrain is easy and flat.
