Snowmobile Trip to Tempelfjord & Von Post Glacier
with Spitzbergen Adventures
About the tour
Ride into beautiful nature with rich wildlife and an amazing view towards the Von Post and Tuna glaciers. We stop at Villa Fredheim, a trapper’s station with an important place in Svalbard history, and at the frozen Esker waterfall.
The route is about 30-35 km each way on flat terrain, and very easy to drive. You get a warm field lunch, warm drinks and plenty of photo stops. We may see reindeer, and with luck Arctic foxes or seals. Groups are never bigger than 6 snowmobiles.
Physical Requirements
Suitable for most without snowmobile experience.
