4-Day Snowmobile Expedition – East to South
with Snowfox Travel
About the tour
Why choose between the East Coast and the South when you can do both? This 500 km expedition takes you from drifting sea ice, icebergs and polar bear country on the east coast to hidden southern valleys that few visitors ever see.
It starts with a welcome dinner and briefing the evening before. Day 1 takes us over glaciers to the east coast and our first wilderness camp. Day 2 crosses towards Van Mijenfjorden and Paulabreen and a warm tent camp. Day 3 goes towards Kapp Morton, with ice fishing at Linnévatnet for our dinner. Day 4 includes an ice cave, a view of Barentsburg from a distance, the coastline, and a farewell dinner in town. Everyone takes turns on polar bear watch at night.
Physical Requirements
Previous snowmobile experience is an advantage. Long days through some rugged terrain.
