About the tour

This is our longest east coast trip, with two extra hours out where the land is frozen solid and the nature untouched. We drive through one of the largest valleys in Svalbard and over the glaciers towards the east, stopping at the top for the view towards Barentsøya and Edgeøya.

The east coast is the best place in Svalbard to see a polar bear. We do not track bears, but with binoculars we may spot one from a safe distance. Sea ice and huge icebergs as far as you can see, and enormous glacier fronts meeting the sea.

We drive around 200-240 km and stay outside all day, so some snowmobile experience is recommended.

Physical Requirements
Previous snowmobile experience is an advantage. A very long day through some rugged terrain.
