Snowmobile Safari to the Wilderness Camp

About the tour
Where our regular Northern Lights safari turns back, this tour keeps going deeper into Adventdalen, far from artificial light and deep into the polar night. Out here the landscape is wrapped in deep blue and black, and day and night blend together.
After a briefing we drive east together, stopping at historic sites along the way. Keep your eyes open for Svalbard reindeer and the unique daytime aurora. When we find a good spot, we set up a small camp, light the fire pit and enjoy a warm expedition lunch while the guide shares stories about life in the Arctic.
Physical Requirements
Suitable for most people without snowmobile experience, through some rugged terrain. Not recommended if you are pregnant or have back problems.

Included in the trip
Dress in layers – it’s the best way to stay warm. It is better to be too warm than too cold!
- Transport to and from your hotel
- Snowmobile and fuel
- Snowmobile suit, boots, mittens, helmet, goggles and balaclava
- Warm expedition lunch, hot drinks and biscuits
- Search and rescue insurance
- Local guide with safety equipment
Recommended to bring
- Wool underwear, wool socks and a thick sweater
- Extra mittens
- A small backpack, since the snowmobiles have no storage
- Avoid down jackets under the snowmobile suit
Important Information
- A valid driving licence is required to drive. Non-Norwegian digital licences are not valid
- No refund if your licence is not valid
- The safety briefing is in English, and drivers need to understand it
- Please tell us about food allergies when booking

If you need to cancel, please let us know in writing. We recommend travel insurance that covers sickness and delayed or cancelled flights.
