About the tour
A full day across snowy mountains and wide valleys, over a glacier and past hunting cabins and a closed mining town, all the way to Grønfjorden. Your guide explains what you see at every stop.
You are almost guaranteed to see reindeer, and seals, ptarmigan or Arctic fox are also possible. Early in the season the light on the way back is amazing. We see Barentsburg from a distance only, without entering the settlement.
Physical Requirements
Previous snowmobile experience is an advantage. Day trip through some rugged terrain.
Practical information
Included in the trip
Dress in layers – it’s the best way to stay warm. It is better to be too warm than too cold!
- Pick-up and drop-off at your hotel
- Safety briefing and driving instruction
- Snowmobile suit, boots, helmet, gloves and balaclava
- Warm field lunch
- Warm drinks during the day
Recommended to bring
- Gloves or mittens, sunglasses and warm clothing

- Minimum age 10 years
- A valid driving licence is required
- Pregnant women cannot join snowmobile tours
- Tell us about food allergies or health issues before the trip

If you need to cancel, please let us know in writing. We recommend travel insurance that covers sickness and delayed or cancelled flights.
