Frozen Summit – Hike to Trollsteinen and Ice Cave

On the way down, we make a stop at the ice cave—formed by meltwater in summer and now frozen into place. Equipped with helmets and headlamps, we step into winding passages inside the glacier. It’s quiet, the air is milder than expected, and the ice formations are ever-changing from year to year.

Lunch inside a glacier? That’s not something you do every day. Back outside, we continue the hike down. After a full day in the mountains, we return to town – tired, content, and glad we made the journey.

Physical Requirements
Suitable for those in very good physical condition. This is a demanding full-day hike through uneven terrain with 750 meters of elevation gain. The summit is weather-exposed, so dress warmly. Some crawling in the cave is required, and the tour is not suitable for individuals with back problems or claustrophobia.
