Svalbard-museet viser gjenstander fra Svalbards historie siden bebyggelsen, og utstillinger av lokale planter og dyr. Målet er å gi bred og omfattende kunnskap om historie og natur i Arktis. Svalbard museum presenterer en moderne utstilling i tradisjonell form, med modeller, rekonstruerte miljøer og autentiske gjenstander. I museet finner du en gavebutikk hvor du kan kjøpe arktisk litteratur, lokalt håndverk, suvenirer, postkort og mye mer.

Nordpolekspedisjonsmuseet forteller historiene om polare ekspedisjoner hovedsakelig med luftskip, men også med ski, hundekant, båter.
Museet er i to etasjer og det er fullt av gamle dokumenter og aviser, bilder, filmer, historiske gjenstander, brev. Gjennom besøket kan du forstå hvor stor innsats utforskerne gjorde for å nå de mystiske frosne horisontene drevet av nysgjerrighet og interesse for vitenskapelig forskning.
